Jeff founded Powerwest in 1989 and, as Managing Director, he leads the company to successfully deliver cost effective and reliable power generation solutions for all clients, including some of Australia’s most well-known and respected ASX200 listed mining companies.
Jeff’s knowledge of mining exploration and power generation spans 35 years. It’s in depth and detailed. Add to that his natural ability to think outside the square and his desire to innovate, and it means no power generation project is too challenging for Powerwest.
Jeff’s expertise is well respected by his peers and by Powerwest clients. Throughout his career, he has held board positions with companies including Majestic Resources, Magna Mining, YellowRock Resources and Central Bore Nickel. Jeff was also a committee member of the Kalgoorlie Boulder Racing Club.
John joined Powerwest in 2015. He has extensive knowledge of, and experience in, diesel engine power generation and project management. This was gained during the 18 years he was with diesel engine designer and manufacturer Cummins, where he worked in a number of roles, including four years as Operations Manager. In 2003 John moved to MTU and into another Operations Manager role.
In his role at Powerwest, John uses his specialist knowledge of diesel engines and power generation to lead teams and ensure the successful planning, execution and delivery of Powerwest client projects.
Business Development Manager/Director
Ryan has broad experience in corporate finance and financial markets, which stems from working for investment firms Indian Ocean Capital and CPS Capital, where he specialised in small to mid-cap resource stocks and provided advice and trade execution for high net worth individuals and corporate clients.
Ryan joined Powerwest in 2016 and today has responsibility for fostering powerful connections with clients, helping them to take advantage of new ways to achieve greater efficiencies when it comes to power generation, and to improve their productivity and bottom line.
Declan’s experience as a qualified diesel mechanic spans 21 years. He joined Powerwest in 2008 as a field service mechanic and power station operator. His commitment to excellence in servicing and operations ensured maximum equipment up-time and consistent reliability for his Powerwest clients.
In 2013, Declan was promoted to the role of maintenance manager, where he has remained. His responsibilities today include overseeing the workshop and providing support to on-site staff and assets. Having worked in the field himself, he brings unique insight to the role and real advantage to the teams in the field.
